01 — Why Us

More than a team. A development engine.

No travel-ball mill, no rosters padded for revenue. Real coaching, real reps, and infrastructure most clubs in the Lowcountry simply don't have.

01 · The Difference

Two private indoor training facilities. Ours.

Asteri Sports’ Long Point and Faison Rd facilities are home base — not a rented bay, not shared rec-center time. Thirteen cages, a 4,000 sq ft outdoor turf area, two full-length pitching tunnels, HitTrax, TrackMan, VALD force plates and full strength training, year-round and weather-proof, on our schedule.

02 · Coaching

Coaches who played at the highest level.

Our staff didn't read about the game in a manual — they lived it, up to the professional level, and now they teach it.

03 · Competition

Sanctioned tournament play that matters.

A real schedule against real competition across the Southeast — calibrated to each age group, not just weekend filler.

04 · Player Development

Year-round development, not just spring tournaments.

Skill blocks in the off-season, strength & conditioning in winter, data-backed feedback from HitTrax and TrackMan, and tournament play when it counts. Every player gets real innings and real attention.

02 — Teams

Five teams. One standard.

Each age group runs as a single tight roster — same expectations, same training calendar, same facility, calibrated to the level.

06 — Families

What parents say.

“

The indoor facility changed everything. My son gets real reps in January, not just spring. He's a different player.

These coaches actually played. The instruction is a level above anything we found in the area. Worth every mile.

Tight roster, real innings, no benchwarming. My son is developing instead of just collecting uniforms.

What do team fees cover?
Indoor training at the Asteri facilities, outdoor field costs, coaching pay for both indoor and outdoor sessions, USSSA team sanctioning, and tournament entry fees. Not included: travel, hotels, or personal gear like bats, gloves, and cleats.
What's the weekly time commitment?
Two practices a week, about 90 minutes each, for every age group — plus 5–8 tournaments per season depending on the time of year, mostly weekends. Athletes in the summer Apollo Program can train up to 4 days a week during that stretch.
How do you handle playing time?
We're development-focused but still coach to win. Younger teams get meaningful reps for everyone. As players get older, playing time shifts more toward performance and practice habits — but we're not a bench-the-kid-all-season organization.
How far do you travel?
For 10U–12U, nothing farther than Myrtle Beach or Asheville. 13U and 14U play a regional summer schedule across the Southeast.
When are tryouts?
10U–12U mid–late July, 13U early August, and 14U in late spring for the summer season. Join the interest list and you'll hear before anything is announced publicly.
What does it cost?
Spring 2027 is $1,750 total, with a $500 deposit due when you accept a roster offer that counts toward the total. 3- or 4-month payment plans are available for the balance. Questions? Reach out at info@palmettorepublic.net.
